[00:00:00] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Radiating Faith, a digital ministry and podcast. I am super excited to be here and back in the ministry world. Not that I ever left it, but I did originally run the Radiating Faith podcast back in the day, about a year and a half, two years ago, as of today's recording date. And I left because of finances, time, and, you know, I ended up merging Radiating Faith into the Couple of Nukes podcast. However, I feel a strong conviction calling, you know, having been making a lot of solo sermons lately and kind of flooding a couple of nukes podcasts with them, that Radiating Faith does need to be its own thing. And so we are back. But if you never knew about the Radiating Faith podcast, welcome as a first time, you know, and Radiating Faith is back with a firmer mission and a greater future.
[00:00:55] I want to introduce myself, Mr. Whiskey, former U.S. navy electricians, make nuclear operator. I'm currently working as a podcaster, comedian, author, preacher and speaker, entrepreneur, and a dog dad. You know, I'm really excited to be doing this project on its own again.
[00:01:10] And so I want to get into the podcast. You know, really what Radiating Faith is about is a couple of things. We're going to be here looking at scripture and. And parts of scripture that people ignore or often overlook. So many of us use the same cookie cutter quotes or we're taught scripture out of context, or maybe it's something else. I really want to reach people who are church or I've been there, done that, you know, where I had religion, you know, weaponized against me, where scripture was twisted, where false prophets were my teachers. And I am very grateful to God that my intellectual curiosity had me search for the truth. And it was reading the Bible end to end, reading the parts that people don't look at that truly changed my life. And altogether, it is the most beautiful, interconnected story that people don't realize because most people just read these Bible plans or these verses or these passages out of context, and every single word of the Bible is important, don't get me wrong. But ladies and gentlemen, y' all gotta read the whole thing end to end at least once before you dive into the hopping around.
[00:02:15] And this podcast is going to use a lot of different sermons with some unconventional ideas, not in the sense that they contradict scripture, not in the sense that they are conforming to this world.
[00:02:29] But I want to make some connections to things in our world to help incite some interest, because a lot of people don't have the passion for the Word like we used to or like people have always Been a little bit distant from it sometimes and there's a lot of people teaching in certain ways and all these different voices and I know it can be overwhelming or hurtful. I'm here to provide something different and unique. Right. I believe that every person who has a calling into preaching has a different voice and different style for a reason. If you don't like mine, that's fine. But I know that it's going to connect with some people out there, God willing, at the right time, at the right place. So thank you for joining.
[00:03:08] We're going to look at what does scripture actually say versus what does society say. We're going to look at biblical, you know, historical accounts that people often overlook. We're going to look at some modern day things that are happening and what is the biblical guidance on it. So super excited to get into this. From my travels in Japan to here in America, from the historical text to modern day commentary, we're going to get into what it means to be radiating faith. That's a play on words from my time as a nuclear operator. Because faith and radiation, you can't see either of them, but they have physical effects, powerful physical effects. And so I pray that you would have your faith radiate, that you would walk away radiating faith even so strongly that people can sense it and see it, even if it's invisible. That people will look at you and ask, as it is written in the New Testament, they will ask you what? What is this hope that you have?
[00:04:08] So ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being here and I hope together we can all radiate beautifully together.
[00:04:14] Not in self righteousness, but in the reflection of Yeshua, I.e. jesus Christ, of what God has called us to be. Amen.
